Loving Kindness Bundle to include Affirmations and Yoga Cubes
This book comes with two Zendoway Cubes that encourage children to use affirmations and try yoga poses. Read the book, roll the cube, and create a space for exploring love and kindness for self and others.
About the book:
Audrey has a love for music and creating rhymes on her drum. When Audrey plays her drum, she is filled with love and happiness. In this journey, Audrey envisions how Metta Meditation can help to spread love and kindness to all living things. (hardcover)
“This book teaches the practice of loving kindness meditation in a simple, child-friendly way, through the eyes of a girl named Audrey. Audrey offers wishes of loving kindness to herself, her brother, her mom, her dad, and all beings. Children can easily repeat these wishes along with Audrey. After reading the book, I like to ask each child in my yoga class who else they want to offer loving kindness to, and I love hearing all of their sweet responses, including wishing loving kindness to their cat, their stuffed animals, grandparents, and friends. I've read this book to children ages 3-10 and all of them have enjoyed it!” – Andrea, Yoga Instructor
About the cubes:
Everyone at some point in their lives has probably heard some form of the adage, “Love yourself first.” But what does this mean? It means being yourself and respecting your abilities and talents, and treating yourself as you treat your parents, children, and friends. Nobody is perfect, but if you make a daily effort to speak kindly to yourself and appreciate what you have, you’ll soon find that you feel happier and lighter.
The focus of this cube is professing your love to your best friend: yourself! Roll this cube as a die, randomly pick a side, or go through every side at once. You might find that it helps to stand in front of a mirror. Even if it sounds silly at first, practice saying I love you to yourself until you believe it. Let this cube be your guide.
Feeling stressed? This cube helps parents, kids, yoga students, and teachers to find relaxation. Just feel like stretching? Roll the cube and read the prompt. You will be encouraged to find a random position and try to hold it for a few minutes or as long as you can. Try other variations of the same pose, pose category, or a new pose entirely. Categories include relaxing, twists, bends, inversions, stretching, and balancing.
